Love Sick is a multi-media project conceptualized and produced by fine artist Milenna C. Saraiva and Movie Director Nikko Fabber.
The short movie is inspired by a surreal dream MIlenna had a while back and now is taking shape of a movie and 12 oil paintings.
The duet has been working on this project for about 6 months and now are getting geared up to start shoooting it.

Milenna has donated a painting to help the cause Dealing for Duchenne 2009. The event is on Saturday, May 09, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles. Dinner by Wolfgang Puck, Live Music, Celebrity Poker Tournament, Black Jack, Auction, and more!

CureDuchenne is fighting for the lives of the 1 in every 3500 boys who are stricken with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Most of these boys will not live past their teens. Their muscle cells will die and won't regenerate. It can happen in any family. But finally, thanks to recent scientific breakthroughs, THERE IS HOPE! XIX Art Salon in Washington DC

Milenna was recently chosen to be one of the artists to participate of The XIX Art Salon in Washington DC !

The Association of Ibero-American Cultural Attachés and the American University Museum present a variety of works from Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
This exhibition is curated by Jack Rasmussen and Jilma Prada.

The exhibition takes place at the Katzen Museum in Washington DC. From November 11th through December 28th of 2008.

Check out "L'heure Bleue" (The Blue Hour). Milenna's latest piece, comissioned by collector Jeffrey Zentarski, is inspiried on the life of Alberto Santos-Dumont: Brazil's Father of Aviation.

A century on, Brazil still claims flight's first. Brazil celebrates the day when Alberto Santos-Dumont "launched, flew, and landed a boxy biplane christened "14bis" above a field in France. In Brazil, where he is a national hero, everyone passionately believes that his flight was the first.
In his homeland, he is considered an eccentric genius. Brazil's president recently named him a national hero, only the ninth person to ever receive such an honor, and he is without doubt the best known Brazilian who didn't act, sing, or play soccer, according to Marisa Guadalupe Plum, the woman in charge of the Santos-Dumont House and Museum.
Schools, roads, businesses, airports, towns, and even a small crater on the moon have been named after him.

Milenna will be one of the artists at the group show
"TROPICS:A contemporary View of Brazil,
Cuba and Haiti".
In this show Milenna will be showing "Ordem e Progresso", a PAINTING INSTALLATION made of 27 canvases.
The mixed-medium piece's total size is 12x10 feet tall.
"Ordem e Progresso" (Order and Progress) are the words found in the Brazilian flag. The piece is Milenna's
view of her native country: "Brazil is such a beautiful and colorful country with the most happy and beautiful people
in the world...but if you look a little closer you see all the ugliness; the corruption, the violence and desperation of a
nation. A perfect dichotomy."

THE SHOW WILL BE HELD AT THE LOS ANGELES MUNICIPAL ART GALLERY.

April 21st, 2006. Art Opening at The Brazilian Consulate Art Gallery:
Milenna has been invited to show her latest art-work at THE BRAZILIAN CONSULATE IN LOS ANGELES
in a two-man-show with the also Brazilian artist Sandra Zebi.

The opening night will be held on April 21st, Friday, 2006, from 6pm to 8pm. The Brazilian consulate is located on 8484 Wilshire Blvd. 7th floor, in Beverly Hills.

Located at the southeast corner of Wilshire and La Cienega Boulevard. Valet parking is available, although the Consulate does NOT validate the ticket. Street parking is generally available, though with some restrictions.
